California Certified Driving Instructor Course

Get fully trained

This course is for first-time driving instructors. DMV requirements state that you need a Driving School Instructor License to work as an instructor. This course satisfies the 60 hour Certification of Completion and supports you through the entire process.

Be fully supported

Our training covers traffic laws, safe driving practices, safe operation of vehicles, first aid, and knowledge of teaching methods and techniques.

Navigating this process on your own can feel overwhelming. That is why we have designed this course to include:

  • Driving Instructor online modules (40 hours)

  • In-person scheduled ride-along trainings (20 hours)

  • Support with scheduling the driving instructor written exam

  • Guidance through the final steps of preparing your vehicle to be drive-ready

Gain DMV Certification

Once you’ve received your certificate of completion, we will support you with scheduling your Driving Instructor Written Exam. Course certification and other requirements include:

  • Valid CA Driver’s License

  • Fingerprint Live Scan Clearance

  • Physician Health Report

  • Proof of High School Graduation or equivalent

  • Personal identifying information
